Are You Ready to Explore Life

Imagine the following situation.

My friend bought a new mobile phone. It has many functions, and he paid it a lot.
The only bad thing is that the instructions is in English, and he does not know English language.

And so it’s been a few months from when my friend bought this phone… and I note that my friend does not send messages with his new phone, but when someone sends him a message (SMS), he call that person immediately.
I asked him why not he send a message back. He said to me that he do not know how to handle any function on his mobile phone! I asked him: “so why not you see how it goes, push buttons, in the end you will learn?”

He answered “I do not touch what I do not know.” “What if I spoil something?”

Seemed to me so illogical, “how will you learn anything if you do not try?” I told him. “Why do you need the phone with so many functions when they are unexplored and you not use them?”

It is not logical, you agree?

So I thought about my actions. The phone is as it was my life. There are many wonderful options (functions) , but I have not had the courage to try to explore them. I was afraid not to “spoil” my life if I press the wrong “button” and try the wrong thing. How many times I was not ready to try something new. I was afraid of the unknown, and this is what my friend was afraid… to press the wrong button. So what if I fail? It is not so bad.

So, I will explore life, press those buttons. ;)

Security

What is security? This is a very interesting topic. I think a lot about the security on the past few days. I realized that if I can understand security, I can much accelerate mine development and get fantastic results.

Earlier, several years ago (and, sometimes, now :) ) I was  always chasing security, I even went too far with it, and I have always had only one goal – to feel secure, safe. I rarely go into a situation where I would not be sure of the outcome of the situation, and even when I entered the situation about I feel insecure, I would be anxious and nervous and wanted to leave this “no security” situation as fast as I could.

However, I believe that everyone sooner or later realize that if he always “play it safe”, more is lost than gained, as he always see the same thing every day, be with the same people, living in the same way, and  chose to live, well, boring life.

That was the same with me. In those rare occasions when I did something new and uncertain, I felt so … excited, thrilled, I’d learned something new … just, I’d progressed, grow, developed. I felt much better, I work better. My confidence would grow and I believe in myself more.

Of course, I not always live such life… but that’s fine, I’m not perfect … Because change is uncertain… there is no security things will be as I want. That is why I write this, I want to grow.

When you aim for security, you usually see things like this – “if I try something new, that can ruin my life. Maybe this will be a new far worse than this. I might end up on the street, in jail, without love, loved ones, with no status in society “…

But you see, I discovered that security does not exist. Even, in my opinion security is fiction

Make Mistakes

I know, it’s not pleasant when we make mistakes. But it is certainly more unpleasant when we realize that we miss many great opportunities. ;-)

Fear of making mistakes is a worse thing than mistakes themselves! We need to make distinguish between the two. So there are:

1) mistakes and

2) the fear of making mistakes.

Why the fear of making mistakes is worse than mistakes?

You see, when you make a mistake, you just do something different than you expect. You can make mistake, but that does not mean anything. This does not mean that you are fail as person, it just means that you have not achieved something as you like. You will still have some result, only not what you have expect (eg. “failure”). But the key thing is to learn something from mistakes. Failure is just opportunity to improve. The knowledge that come from making mistakes, is very valuable. So, I think that making mistakes is inevitable and even positive because it gives you the opportunity to learn. So, or you will fail or will learn.

However, if you are afraid of making mistakes, then you will not try anything! What you lose then?

1. Knowledge and improvement gained from making mistakes

2. The opportunity for the possible success.

How will you succeed if you do not try? Imagine miners in gold mine, who fear that they will not succeed to find gold in mine where they plan to dig. And the fear of making mistakes stop them. What do you think, if they never try, because they are blocked by fear, when they have chance to find gold? You’re right, NEVER. Therefore, appreciate and congratulate yourself for every attempt, effort, try and mistake.

I think that fear of making mistakes is thing that stopped the progress and positive development of many people. Including me, sometimes.

The only cure for that is to learn to congratulate yourself for every attempt, effort, try and mistake. And to see a mistake as an opportunity for more knowledge. And knowledge is achieved by repetition. So, make mistakes. :)

How to build yourself and why

Life is full of changes. Smaller and larger. I will repeat that until you learn :)

Changes are just switching from one state to another.

There are positive changes, that is when things are changing how we want. Negative changes, when things are changing as we do not want. And when we do not change, we stand in place. This is when you try to avoid any change, as long as possible, but it is impossible to maintain this state, because everything is subject to impermanence, even to avoid any possible changes, your body will start to deteriorate in the natural process of aging, right?  And why do it? It’s like you’re dead.

So, changes are inevitable. Your mind should always be open to change, right?

Life is one big and constantly change. So life is a big opportunity for improvement, ie. positive change.

How?

Well, anyone who is alive, he must learn, and develop, you can not avoid that. Or you decide by yourself, or your life take you to new experiences that give you the opportunity to learn without that you choose. Until you die, you will learn by experience. If positive, you will learn from them how to create a more positive, if negative you will learn what not to do. Either way you will learn something, and grow.

So, we can decide to grow, ie. we decide what positive changes  we will bring into our lives, and then we try to control change (that will happen anyway) in a way that what we want. Eg. decide you want a healthier body. And then you’ll need to change diet, to introduce the exercise, to learn about all things, to look for people who have manage what you want etc. Or you can wait that life before you throw a disease, and that also must change the diet and all.

So, you can not escape to a change, but I choose to accept this fact and to change more in a way that I want.  I want to control the changes that are happening to me. We do not have much control over the changes that are happening around us. But we have control over us. We can change ourselves, build ourselves. When you change yourself, soon you will affect the environment, if not the other way, then by example to people around you.

So, changes are inevitable. Development is inevitable. The only question is whether you’ll make a conscious decision and affect change (and build yourself and your life as you want). Or you let the change happen by itself.

So, why should you build yourself (grow) ?

Because some form of “self-construction” going on constantly, regardless if you wanted to or not. You always have a choice not to decide, and let it be. It is a slower solution, but it will happen. Or you go, make decisions, build yourself and then by example create circumstances what you want. Finally, if you constantly make (positive) changes that you want, you become more skilled  at making positive changes, and so, develop you and your life as you want, on financial, health / physical, social, business, spiritual, and all other “categories” of life (or whatever you call them) .

How to build yourself?

So here are some basic ways, which will probably deepen in future posts.

1. Reading – reading “feed the brain”. I think it is very important to read. By reading you gather new ideas. It do not have to be a professional literature. A new, useful ideas you can get from reading, science fiction, historical books, encyclopedias or “crime and punishment” (Dostoevsky)… or this site ;)

2. Listening and talking – people are like books. Everyone has a story, some people have a set of negative stories, or positive. There are various types of people, everyone is valuable, and from each you can learn something. From some people you can get valuable lessons, some will teach you why not to be such person :) . But it is important to see what belief systems exist, so maybe choose a new for yourself, and in this way change and grow.

3. By thinking – this can be dangerous :-) Thinking sometimes can bring us good things and solutions. Thinking can sometimes block us, we can bring jealousy, pain, envy, self-pity, etc.. So in case you use it, mix it with love and it will be ok. ;)

4. Action – this is probably the best way for growth. Books and everything else we can get a good idea. But if you do not apply these idea its will mean very little. It is important to transfer ideas from the mind, to the physical reality, everyday life. In this way, we can get the most knowledge and growth. And while many people believe that the failure is negative, failure can actually be very positive thing. Because you will learn by the failure much, much more than reading books for example, or any other method, although all are useful.

You now can say that almost all  is opportunities for building yourself. Well, yes. :)

Finally, you do not have to strive to improve yourself. It is your choice, not need. But the theme of this site is a personal change affected by your own decisions, so this is for those who have decided to do so.

Be Relaxed

In this article I will explain how I learned that it is essential and important to be calm and relaxed.

A few years ago I went through a (practical) driving test. That meant a lot to me so I remember almost everything. The first time I went through driving test I woke up early in the morning. When I woke up I was a little upset…

And then we started, I entered the car, turned it on (I started the car) all went ok, until I made one little mistake… At this point, i’m a little scared…

Soon there was another mistake and it was over for that time… I thought to myself, OK, it is only the first time. I did not succeed this time, but I will next time.

The second time was even worse. I was very nervous… It was going through my head, that it’s ok for someone to to fail once, but I will succeed this time… everything will be ok. And again I failed… Driving instructor told me that he could not recognize me, I drive very well, when I was with him… But now, he could see by my behavior that I’m nervous.

The third time… I tried to laugh, talking very much with people who are waiting with me on the exam. Maybe I looked like someone in the mood, but… whole being was concentrated on that is the third time… “I can not afford not to succeed, what will others think, all people pass from the second time” … blah blah … I did not pass :D

The fourth time … I remember before taking driving test, in the morning, I entered the bakery, bought a pastry, and was so nervous that I could not eat. I just I threw the food. I do not remember everything, but it seems to me that this time I made a big mistake … I mean, I did not kill anyone: D but I failed…

I was thinking: “what is wrong with me”… I started to panic, I thought, “I will never pass” … “All can go to hell” … “Must be something wrong with the car” … :D Now, when I remember that, it is funny, but then I just panic. I felt like I lose a lot every time when I have not passed driving test. “All people” were passing from the first, second, third times, I was waiting for the fifth! I started to to think about all the friends and people who were passing from the first, second, third times, and I started to discourage myself… Car and the driving school was annoying me, and instructor and commissions and all other things…

Of course, not “all people” passed from the first or second time, but  in a panic I’m began to exaggerate, to always think negatively, and so feed your anxiety… what to say… : D I did not always felt so, but there were moments…

Have you ever passed through such a thing? Not only that you are panic-stricken because of an event that will come, but your thoughts “feed” and increases your anxiety…

And so came the fifth time … However, this time was different.

I do not know what or who it is (perhaps the driving instructor) but it pointed to my nervousness, as the main problem. It isn’t my knowledge of driving. I knew all the rules, I knew how, I always took extra classes. I know to drive. It was not that someone there did not like me. No one had reason to feel anything towards me. It was only one reason, I was extremely nervous and worried.

It would totally blocked me. So at the time of driving my attention was not behind the wheel.

The fifth time I have learned a very important lesson. More important then a driver’s license. And that is that the anxiety and nervous will block you even with things you know. Often, is not important  how much you know, nor do the skills, nor the talent … but only to how much you are relaxed.

I passed the driving test the fifth time and got a license. I was not nervous. On the contrary, I didn’t  think about anything else … I just drove, and everything was OK.

How do I deal with that?

How to deal with anxiety when it threatens to destroy your chances at something? I told you I have learned from this from driving test. Let’s analyze this.

First, I stopped to expect perfectionism from myself. I am less concerned about whether I will pass or not.

Second, I identified anxiety as a problem. When I saw and became aware of that, I was able to recognize who is the guilty and remove that immediately, because this depends on me. Not from external conditions. So I was  relaxed because I was aware of the problem.

Conclusion

It is strange how sometimes in ordinary situations we can learn a variety of important things.

This is one simple thing, get a driver’s license… but I learned a valuable lesson that we use today. I felt a great positive change in my life when I realized how much care and stress can block me. Of course even today sometimes I do not resist being upset because of something. I am a human being :D  But it is still much less, and conscious than before.

One thing that can dramatically slow the achievement of your goals

Here I will write about the one thing that blocked me in my efforts to achieve goals. It is the habit of spending too much time in thinking about the action, instead of working on goals.

Yes, thinking is the thing that blocked me the most. However strange it may sound :)

It is important to be aware that the only time that we have to achieve our goals is – the present moment :) You have a lot of current moments that can be used for positive change and progress. If you use these moments just for thinking, it would have little impact on you’r practical growth.

To be successful in achieving goals, it is important to recognize what slows down you in the achievement of your goals.

How can we slow down the achievement of our goals?

Well, first of all instead of working to create positive change, we do not change anything. It could be called to be blocked. Use the present moments that we have, for something that is not our goal. Waste of time.

Remember! No matter how good or bad goals are, they are achieved only at one time – the present.

This is a list of things that have blocked me in my work on the goals.

· Care about irrelevant things – in many cases we are not even aware of how concerns can slows down the realization of your goals. Instead of working on goals, you spend your time at concerns about what will happen in the future. That will not help you. Most likely you will get sick from stress.

· Jealousy – you can be jealous of other people’s achievements and to be blocked by that. Always to be upset because someone has something and you do not have. Again, you waste time on unimportant things.

· Fear – fear is something that will probably block most of your efforts to your goals. How to cope with fear? Very easy. Do what you are afraid to do. Action kills fears.

· Fear of failure – this is a separate fear, which resolves by recognize that the failure is nothing “bad”, it is only an opportunity to learn something new from that failure. In this way you will learn much more than in any other way, like reading books etc.

· Wish that everything must be perfect – if you strive to always be perfect, then you will always be careful not to do something wrong. And since you can not be perfect, you will be inactive rather than active in your objectives. For more information see here.

· Uncertainty – you need to be determined and sure of your intentions. If you constantly feel insecure, and again and again turn negative assumptions in mind, you probably will not be able to push to work on your goals.

But, the source of all these things, absolutely first place in my life by how it block the achievement of my goals, is too much analysis and thinking. I think I already talked about that here, but this is very important.

Imagine that you have found something about which you are enthusiastic. Decide that you will be focus to that thing. It becomes your goal. And then the next 2 hours you just think about it. What could be, what would not, where the hidden dangers, which are disadvantages of your decision, the advantages, if you really want it or not, where will it happen, and possible scenarios, and visions and so on.

But the truth is that you’ll be closer to the realization of an idea if you works to it 2 minutes, then if you think about it 2 hours.

Don`t understand me wrong, I do not want to say that you should not think before making decisions. Even, you should find a better way to do it. But I say that one should not think too much when the decision was made.

It is not necessary to think too much when you already made a decision about the change. Take the action!

I write about this subject because this is my big disadvantage, and I want to get rid of it.

Just see how much time you have lost due to too much thinking.

To say it this way…

Is it true that a salespeople could destroy their chances with you if he/she talk too much about their product?

Would salespeople who talk too much lost their jobs? Who else wants to listen about a single product 3, 4, 5 hours?

Would you attracted more by briefly presentation, but honestly and where they are proceed to the matter, or long presentation in which the speaker get carried away while you sleep? :) Probably in that case you would turn off your brain…

Just as the salespeople sabotage its sale by his / her too long story, you sabotage your action (and goals) by thinking too much. In the end you get bored with so much thinking and turn off your brain.

That does not mean that you should not watch out for details. Of course you should. But you will have best insight about the details if you work on your idea.

Conclusion

The only thing you can do in this case, is to recognize the moment when you thinking too much, and then ask yourself if it takes you closer to your goal or just waste time of achieving goals.

Of course, on many things you need to think well before starting action, but in many cases you only lose time to work on changes, and positive growth.

Awareness will help you to keep away this habit. So, consider, decide and go. Everything else will solve on the road. :)

See How Easily You Can Achieve Goal

If you’ve set goals that are important to you, you will succeed to reach them, if not, you will not. It is so simply.

How otherwise to provide yourself to return to your goals again, again and again? People are returning to their goals when they provide an value so great that it would be stupid move not to return to work on this goal.

Changes are always with you, everything changing, the situation through which we pass is changing,  people we meet, our thoughts change, desires, habits, our knowledge, everything will pass and everything change.

There is a positive change – progress, growth. There is a negative change – regression. And there is a situation when there is no change. This is the worst situation, but because of the transience of all that exists, this situation is not sustainable.

In one earlier article I talked about goals. The goals are basically when you consciously decide what changes we want to experience, all in order to know where we want to focus our efforts and resources, at the present time.

Now, in this article I want to speak with you about one important thing when it comes to achieving goals. And that’s the difference between relevant and irrelevant goals.

If you are enthusiastic about some goals, your energy will attract people to help you achieve that goal. It also will trigger you, you’ll enjoy every moment of the path. You will be productive, efficient and have maximum motivation.

It is important to you that your goals are important. :)

Why are you delighted with some things and some not? There is no answer, or at least in this case I do not want to ask. :) It is totally a personal individual thing. You may have several reasons. It does not matter. It is important that you are enthusiastic. Perhaps it is because of money, or adventure, or some other thing … you do not need a reason, except that you want, that’s reason enough.

What can you do?

The most important thing is to determine why you are enthusiastic about the goal. What is the outcome of the goal that will amazed you. If the goal is to establish a new company, you may be amazed that you’ll earn more money, or learn something new, etc.. It is easy to determine …

• When you set a goal, write a list of a few things that delight you when it comes to this goal. It does not matter what other people think, what is important to you matter.

• Imagine how you look that you are completely thrilled with something. What would be your voice, smile, your feelings, your movements, your attitude? Would probably jumped around, powerful movements move, smiling, as if you are connected directly to the generator of electricity in power plants.

• Now, imagine that behave similarly, enthusiastic, with those things that you just write in the list.

• Are you still excited? If you can imagine yourself that you are enthusiastic, then probably you will be.

See, it does not matter whether it excited someone else. It is important that you are excited about this goal. Perhaps with 100 reasons, perhaps without reason.

What do I do then? Well, when I’m thrilled with something, first I inform about it,   gather information. Because is not all as it seems at first sight.  If I deepen the subject and it still attracts me, and still I am interested in and delights me more, then I start working on it. Usually if you keep enthusiasm at this stage to inform you, you can easily start working on that goal and remain consistent. Some people like to visualize that goal to the details, but I don`t. ;)

Now, when you so enthusiastic about your goals that you have to spend every minute in order to work on it – work hard! :D

Why you should not wait conditions to become perfect

Imagine that you have the seeds of some plants. Then provide the best fertilizer, exactly how much water is needed, exactly how much sunlight is needed to fully developed seeds to plant… further, remove any possibility that pests attack plant, give her all that a man invented, and the nature and money can afford and let the seeds to develop.

You’ll probably soon find that the plant is well developed.

Why? Well, you gave her all the conditions.

Now, imagine that you throw away the seeds in a forest. Without your attention. The conditions are not perfect.

What do you think, will the seeds wait for to conditions in the forest to become perfect in order to be developed in the plant? Will seed wait to have you back, to return it to grow in perfect conditions? Moreover, even if the seed is waiting for you, will you be back? Is the seed has a better chance in conditions that are not perfect, or to wait to be find by man in the woods?

It is the same with people. If you wait for conditions to become perfect, then you’ll probably be disappointed…

There is always something that is not perfect. Whenever you see yourself to wait until conditions improve, ask yourself if you are like seeds in the forest waiting a man who will kept it in perfect conditions?

There will never going to be perfect conditions. Unless an alien does not begin to raise people in perfect conditions :D Therefore, start now! Solve problems and make decisions as they are encountered. Do not wait! Act! In the real world there is no perfect time to start, there is no perfect conditions! Do not wait them!

How to hate yourself

One of the fastest ways to make yourself very unhappy person is that you do not like yourself, no, better yet, hate yourself. :D

So, instead to develop positive feelings toward yourself, you hate yourself.

Instead to love your uniqueness, you hate that you are unique, always talk to yourself that you’re “eccentric”, that you are “lazy,” “ugly,” “worthless person”, that you have created for the failings, that all people are better than you …

Further, do not believe in your estimates, this will surely prove that you do not like yourself. Always let someone else to indicate for what you do or don’t do.

If someone says that you are unable to do something, agree! Even, build a whole system of beliefs that will support that you are incapable.

Of course, to really hated yourself, avoid all the small and larger pleasure.

If you make a mistake, do not learn from mistakes! Just tell yourself a label such as “loser”. Moreover, It’s not bad to remember the old mistakes and humiliate yourself because of them.

Of course, if you want a real, strong hate, you must not leave out your body. So, tell yourself that every part of your body is terrible. Arms, legs, stomach, even the freaking fingers :D … You must hate all your body parts and must be constantly negative. Realize that you can not have a nice body.

If you have a body as you dont want and you can change it, do not accidentally change it with exercise and healthier eating! Please, if you want to forever be wretched and unhappy, and hate yourself, you must not allow it.

Remember, to love yourself is always better than to hate yourself!

Hating will totally block you. I know, because I was such person a few years ago. I hated myself and it showed in various ways, including the above. And thus did not solve anything.

So, do yourself and others a favor and start to enjoy yourself … I wish you luck on this path!

Great guide for the goals

Hardly anyone can have a blog about personal development and not to mention the goals :D there is so many articles about them, it is challenge to write something new that will dramatically increase your efficiency in the use of goals.

There are many, many articles and books (such as. “Goals” Brian Tracy) on the subject of goals, but I hope this guide will give you some information that you didn’t know.

I started using goals a few years ago, and I used them a lot in the path of personal growth. I had and I have a lot of positive experience with the goals. It is simply the best tool to speed up your personal progress in a shorter time.

I am writing this article because I think that goals have a huge role in personal development, if properly used.

Included are personal experience with the goals, my thinking about them, as well as ways to increase efficiency of goals in your life. Let’s start …

What are the goals?

The goal is an outcome in the future, or better yet, goals are a new experience that we want to achieve in the future. Rather than go through life with a lot of experience that have less value for you, goals help to organize and direct your life on specific things that you mean and provide value to your life.

So, goals are guidelines that can help you take advantage of the present moment so as not to wander and waste energy on the experience that do not lead you anywhere, but go to things that are pre-set and you want to receive. The man who select goal, the steps to it and works hard, is concentrated, organized and came to the desired outcome.

How to start with the goals?

You can start by determine your current interests. What new experiences would you like to experience? What would excited you, when you experienced it? Having something, some skill, knowledge? Or possession of money or beautiful, healthy body? Imagine all the experiences that are available to people. Which of them would choose for yourselves? To become a millionaire? To help people? You can be as detailed as you want. You can include dates, numbers, descriptions, etc.. Or simply consider what is missing in your life.

Then, see where you are now compared to what you want. If there are some figures that might describe your progress on the goals, the better.

Take, now, while reading this, a sheet of paper and write down a couple of new experiences that would like to experience, write a short description of the goal, then, write what you want to experience, on paper, starting from this point now. Then post them in a visible place, so you always think about target.

Why should you use goals in your path of personal development?

The objectives are known as a tool that brings people to the outcome that they want. See, situation pass, your thoughts, people who know, and everything is subject to change, will shift, whether you like it or not, changes are inevitable. If you already haw to pass through different situations, you may want to consciously control and build them the way you want, right?

When you set yourself a target, and paste it in a visible place (places) you will probably began soon to see the benefits of setting goals.

Goals can lead you to:

1. Change what you want in certain areas of life

2. Become better at setting goals and making decisions as you bring more goals

3. The present moments will be filled with activities that are conscious set

Will the changes that occur with the help of goals, have the outcome of what you want?

Of course not. But either you get or not get the goal, it will bring some changes in your life, there will be an outcome from which you will learn something new, even if you do not reach goal.

My experience with the goals brings me to the following conclusions about them:

· They increase your concentration to important matters. Rather than waste energy on irrelevant things, I have this energy directed at what I have most worth and what I want. Example, in this blog. I waste hours reading other people’s blogs, until I took aim, “50 blogs by a certain deadline”, then I was with this aim in mind, and I began to do what is really important for the site, write blogs.

· focus the mind to find solutions. I noticed that when you bring objectives for something, you soon find opportunities in your area to learn about it. Eg. I brought one a goal that is to more physically develop, and soon I found sites on the subject “accidentally”, or I would be walking in the bookstore and found books and magazines about it. Everything begins to match each other.

· Freedom. Although some may think that the goals of reducing the freedom, the goals actually lead you to greater freedom. Opposed to making the goals is – do not have a goals at all. · The importance of the goal to you. If goal is not important to you, if you are not impressed when you see it, understand it will not come true. Find the reasons why this is an important goal to you. Try to feel good and excitement when you imagine the current goal. If this fails, try to find more reasons for excitement. If this fails, ask yourself whether you really want that.

· Put the goal in a visible place. Write your goals on paper and post them in a visible place. Many authors on the subject of personal development is talked about this, I know that it is often the deciding factor to stay the order and not cancel, because it helps you concentrate on it often, and do not forget the goal, which can be often. Glue it on the walls, put in your wallet, keep reminding yourself often.

· Title. Give a title to. Must be a memorable and impressive.

· Ask yourself important questions often. Ask yourself how much this goal means to you? Why did you start? Why do you want to reach that goal? Describe what will happen if you do not get that goal? What will be for 5, 10 years if you do not get.

· Measure them. This is very important. Determine how to measure how far you come and take your daily performance. No annual, not monthly, not weekly, but daily. Examine yourselves, ” what I have achieved today?”, “What have I accomplished?” If possible, try to find a way to measure your performance with numbers.

How much improvement to expect if you constantly make the goals?

Huge. You can move a lot if you use goals. I did.

I was amazed how things are positively changing almost daily.

People have changed life drastically, increased financial power, build their habits, changing connections, and achieve a positive change for only a year or two with goals.

You’ll also see that you have the power to control your life. You control the direction that moves your life. No circumstances, no other people, but you. Not in every case, but certainly in many cases.

Watch out

There are also a few things that can destroy your effectiveness in setting goals.

· Too much imagination, too little work. Goals are something that is planned for the future, but remember that they are only guidelines. What counts is what you do now.

Be careful not to fall into the trap and fantasize about goals, without the work on the goals.

Imagine that you have computer game, and you just install it and think how good it is, and how you will get points, or gold… without actually playing. Does this sound normal and functional? Of course not. Only if you play, you will get points (gold). If you do not play, you will not get anything . Also if you play the game of life, you will get results only if you work, you will not get anything if you always think and analyze.

· Too many goals. It is better not to exaggerate, and stay on a smaller number of objectives. It is important to stay with the goals that you are most used and most valuable to you.

· Make sure that goals do not destroy spontaneity. Although useful, you must take care to preserve your spontaneity. Not everything has to be planned. Lack of spontaneity kills the personal growth the same as if you have no goals, because the spontaneity needed to experience new things and personal development.
